Board of Directors

Dick Sine, Rescue Specialist-Medic

Board of Directors Chairman

Dick Sine comes from a true “Band of Brothers”.  Both he and his brothers were police officers – one in Alaska, one in Texas and himself in Ohio.  All three have since retired from those original jobs.  Dick first came to Montana in 1999 after retiring in Ohio to be a Park Ranger in Glacier National Park.  In his winters off from the park he went back to college at Flathead Valley Community College and became a Paramedic.

In Montana, he has served as the Chief of Detectives for the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, a Flight Medic with both ALERT and Two Bear Air Rescue, where he continues to volunteer as a Rescue Specialist-Medic.  Returning to school again in 2016 Dick has become a Lay Pastoral Associate with the ELCA Lutheran Church.

It was while serving with the Sheriff’s Office he met Chaplain Drew Buckner and became impressed with the service Chaplin Buckner offered not only to the first responders, but also with families in crisis after traumatic incidents.  As an officer and paramedic he has personally seen the need for the Chaplain service and is honored to assist in its future.
