Fire Damages Historic Kalispell Building
Traumatic situations always involve people, property, or both. When the property damaged by a fire relates to a business owner’s livelihood, then it causes a very high level of concern. The stress of such a situation can be somewhat reduced by verbally processing the trauma with someone on scene.
This is one role I played in relating to the owners and their family member. One owner found himself in need of a coat while he dealt with the situation in the cold temperatures. I was able to provide him a jacket to make him more physically comfortable while his mind was filled with decisions to be made and steps of action to be taken.
